Social Action
At the UU Church of Canton, we put our principles and passions for social justice into action in many ways.
Our church’s social justice work seeks to help all members of the congregation live their values by providing information and education on issues at the local, national, and international levels, and offering opportunities for advocacy and action. Responsibility for community service and working for social justice is shared by all church members. Learn more about social action at our church below, and by following this link to the Church Social Justice page. (opens in a new window)

Some of the activities that our church is regularly involved in, in addition to the 3 ministries mentioned above, include:
-
Hosting a weekly community meal sponsored by the local chapter of Campus Kitchens. College students use left-over food from campus dining services to prepare a free dinner every Monday night.
-
Serving as home base for the monthly American Red Cross blood drive
-
Serving as home base for weekly meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous
